Waikato Print recognised as Best Practice
2000/01 was a very successful year for Waikato Print who, in partnership
with the Waikato Management School, won the TUANZ e-business of the
year awards and the US based Xplor Global Innovator of the Year. These
awards celebrated the groundbreaking results that Waikato Print and WMS
achieved in developing an e-commerce system for on-line student procurement
of Course Readings.
This system has now been redeveloped by ISG and is widely used by School
of Education, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Waikato Management
School students.
In 2000, a special e-business report, prepared in the USA by Xplor International and Midrange Computing, identified Waikato Print as the world's best practice for integration of the Internet to print services. Our online ordering/POS & inventory system has attracted much attention from Universities throughout the world and has become a model for them to follow.
